Writing on food
My Twitter profile is accurate: journalist, dog fanatic, word lover, handbag enthusiast, culinarian, domela. The order may change, but these are things I hold dear. However, most of you are here for my words.
There’s little about food that I don’t like, from the aroma and taste and nutrition to the challenge of conquering a new recipe and the glory of serving a perfect risotto or an exquisite spatchcocked chicken with miso and sesame (photographed for the opening food page). I take much care, too, with using the best ingredients and manageable small appliances to create my dinners.
I’m always up for a challenge so send me a recipe, a list of ingredients, or just a food title, and I will see what I can come up with. Otherwise expect to see occasional photos, recipes, and reactions in this space.
